Yuumei

Style: Anime

Genre: Stories and Wisdom

Rated: G for all Audiences

Summary: Her anime style is similar to that of Ouran High School Host Club and her design techniques are simple, but the stories she weaves are truly breathtaking. Yuumei's creativity reminds me a lot of the creator of Grave of Fireflies and Nausicca. The simple stories made out of simple things and wonderful and bring a tear to your eyes. The most recent, "1000 Words" is inspiring and adorable and the viewing style is easy to understand and cute. Her story 'kite flyer' is based off of simple things that lead to something truly breath taking that one must see for themselves.

Akeli: "Creator of "Guardians"

Style: Realism, Comic, Anthromorphic, Fantasy

Genre: Adventure and Art

Rated: G for all audiences

Summary: Akeli's drawing style is a great range in the norms of comics that I have seen in recent months. She includes a wide variety of species, both warm and cold blooded and it adds character to animals that you wouldn't imagine could have the personalitiies that they do, otherwise. Her realistic drawings take you back to the time where every weekend you would look in your mailbox to find your new edition of 'Zoo books' and i love it so much! The story line is easy to follow and there is a lot of different emotions being shared including humor. Akeli is one comic artist that needs to be appreciated and published!

Tanathe & Akreon: Creators of "Off White"

Style: Realism, Abstract, Comic, Anthromorphic

Genre: Adventure & Fantasy

Rated: PG-13 for some violence and blood.

Summary: The Creators of Off White took a lot of consideration and research into consideration before beginning their project which I can applaud them for to the fullest extent. They broke out of the norm by introducing humans into their stories as well and giving each group a backstory that always leaves you clawing at them for more. Their realistic approach to characters is matched by their personalities. There are no cliche used in this story as far as i'm concerned, and the artwork is breath taking.

Boribaby: Creator of "Revelations"

Style: Animated, Anthromorphic

Genre: Adventure & Fantasy

Rated: PG for some violence

Summary: The story line for Revelations is easy to follow and understandable. She throws a few twists in your way, but nothing too erratic that cannot be explained by a simple explanation. The art style is simlar to 'Spirit: Stallion of the Cimmaroon" by DreamWorks, but follows nothing of that story line. The character designs are cute, clean, and colorful and do not step out of any boundary lines that may have been set for rating purposes. There is some violence but nothing graphic, and the dialogue is clean cut. Revelations is a comic that is enjoyable for all ages, especially those who love horses and wildlife.

RunningWolf Mirari

Style: Abstract & Anthromorphic

Genre: Action & Adventure

Rated: PG for Violence, Blood, and Death.

Summary: When I first came across this the art style surprised and confused me. The bold outlines and little detail was definitly a change from what I was used to seeing in any art, especially with wolves and animals. The story line is a bit apocalyptic and has a lot of great aspects. There is little variety in species but those of the non-wolf variety are memorable to say the least. Mirari's destined to run forever: The Secret Name idea, the amount of death, the colors, the scenes and the characters make this a very enjoyable read. It is also constantly updated which is a plus for those who like to keep in touch often with the artist and read more. The grammer is a bit difficult because it was translated. UP-and-COMING ARTISTS:

Paso

Style: Realism, Slight-Disney, Anthromorphic

Genre: Action & Adventure

Rated: PG for Violence

Summary: Paso is an up and coming artist whose comic I discovered by chance while looking up tutorials on how to draw hyenas. The art style has some disney qualiites to it but is quite realistic and authentic and keeps to a lion's figure and features (aside from paso's mane - she is female!?). The story line still has a lot to be desired and seems to mimic The Lion King in every aspect so far (queen to be, is chased off by another female, etc.) As I viewed the improvements made to the art, coloring, and drawing styles between pages 1 and 8 i began to feel more curious on how the story would progress. The artwork caught my attention; The story line so far, not so much. All and all a good read to enjoy.
